// Become a volunteer
You're already gaming. GamerReach doesn't ask you to give that up. It asks you to bring someone along who needs a teammate right now.
How it works
Tell us what you play and why you want to help. It only takes a few minutes.
A coordinator reads every application and reaches out by email.
We sponsor your Mental Health First Aid certification and walk you through onboarding.
We pair you with someone who plays your games and has time when you do. Then you play.
It's up to you. Tell us your availability on the application and we'll match you around it.
No. Volunteers are fellow gamers, not therapists. We sponsor your Mental Health First Aid certification, which teaches you how to listen and when to point someone toward more help.
Volunteers don't diagnose, give therapy, or handle crises. If someone needs more than a teammate, you'll connect them with our referral team or with 988, and you're never expected to handle that alone.
We match on platform, games and availability, so sessions feel like playing with a friend who happens to get it.
Yes. Volunteers must be 18 or older.
You'll get a confirmation email right away. A coordinator then reviews your application and follows up with next steps.
In crisis right now? GamerReach isn't a crisis line. Call or text 988 anytime, day or night.
