// About GamerReach

Mental health support, one game at a time.

GamerReach connects people going through something hard with trained volunteer gamers who are ready to play and listen. No scripts, no pressure, and always free.

Our story

Why we exist

For a lot of people, gaming is the place they already feel most like themselves. It's also where many of them go when things get hard, and where someone who understands can meet them without any pressure.

GamerReach was formed in 2021 to turn that into support that's easy to reach. We match people who are struggling with trained volunteer gamers who play alongside them and listen. It fills the gap between getting through it alone and seeing a professional.

We're not a crisis line, and we're not therapy. We're a teammate who shows up.

What GamerReach is

  • Peer support through play
  • Volunteers trained in Mental Health First Aid
  • Always free for people seeking support
  • A warm bridge to licensed therapists

What it isn't

  • A crisis line. Call or text 988
  • Therapy or medical treatment
  • A replacement for professional care

What we believe

Three ideas behind everything we do

Connection comes first

You don't have to explain yourself to be welcome. Sometimes the first step is just having someone to play with.

Show up, don't fix

Our volunteers listen and stay present. They don't diagnose or lecture, and they know when to point someone toward more help.

Safe by design

Trained volunteers, moderated spaces, and a clear path to professional care and to 988 whenever someone needs more.
